Watching Video With Online Friends

Many years ago, back before we had a kid, actually followed TV programs, and before video was really a viable technology online, my friends would get together on Sunday nights and watch new episodes of "The X Files". Back when it was still Mulder and Scully chasing down the wierdness of the world.

Since that time we really don't watch TV much, and those friends have scattered to the far corners of the planet, but now it's possible to have those shared watching experiences again – this time online and thanks to Facebook.

This InsideFacebook article shows how people have come together during live events and shared thier feelings and opinions right as the events unfold. So far this has been done using Facebook Connect, but could also be done using other technologies.
